It's Salsa Time!
One of my favorite things to snack on are chips and salsa! My husband will argue saying he is the better salsa maker (being Latino), but... I think he might be wrong. :)
Here is a basic salsa recipe that I follow!
Ingredients:
4-5 Tomatoes
½ Onion
1-2 Jalapenos
2 Garlic Cloves
1/8 cup Cilantro (optional)
Salt (to taste)
Cumin (to taste)
Chili Powder (to taste)
Directions:
Roast tomatoes, onion, and jalapenos (I usually do this on a griddle, but the oven works too!)
Add roasted veggies to blender or food processor, along with rest of ingredients
Blend 30 seconds (or until you have the texture you prefer)
Chill and serve!
